B-Share Station
The B-Share Station is along the entrance road to the Whispering Pines III Community.
Access to the primary B-share delivery system requires an electronic key. All fees should be current to use the electronic key. Seriously delinquent accounts may be disabled.
Current B-share Fee Annually | $75
New B-share Fee| $500
As of September 6, 2020, an Impact Fee of $500 is assessed for every new B-share sold to the Whispering Pines Water Company.
Transfer B-share Fee | $125
If you purchase an existing B-share, the share/stock certificate is transferred to the new owner and only requires a recording fee of $125.
Each share of Class “B” stock represents the right to up to a maximum of 36,500 gallons of water per calendar year. This water is available only from the company’s B Station spigots located on Meadow Road. The use of the 36,500 gallons of water is restricted to the property described on the face of the stock certificate issued by the company. The holder of the share certificate shall have the right to transfer said water from the described property only upon written approval of the Whispering Pines Water Company.
Why should a "B Share" owner pay a yearly fee when they use no water?
The simple answer is you are NOT paying for your water - you have ALREADY paid for your water when you bought your property or purchased the share.
What you ARE paying for is the maintenance of the system which gives your property value.
This is why (A-Share) full-time residents pay more than (A-Share) part-time residents who pay more than (A-Share) lot owners who pay more than (B-Share) owners - those responsible for wear and tear on the system pay more.
